Perspective

On Honest Considerations

Why knowing when a property is not right can be just as valuable as knowing when it is.
Back to the Journal

Every excellent hotel has a point of view. That also means every excellent hotel is not excellent for everyone. We think useful travel advice should make room for both sides of that sentence.

A recommendation should include the trade-offs.

A remote resort may offer extraordinary privacy and make spontaneous exploring less convenient. A landmark city hotel may put a client in the center of everything and feel busier than they want. A beautiful historic room may come with quirks that a newer property does not.

Those details do not make a hotel worse. They make the recommendation more honest.

CAEMIRA’s property perspective is intended to include who a hotel suits, who it may not suit and the practical realities worth knowing before a client commits.

Luxury advice is not saying yes to every beautiful hotel. It is knowing which beautiful hotel makes sense now.

Confidence comes from context.

The goal is not to eliminate compromise. Travel always contains it. The goal is to make sure the client understands the trade before arrival rather than discovering it on day one.
